Positive Effect of High Zinc on Growth of Sedum alfredii

Sedum alfredii Hance (S. alfredii) is a native hyperaccumulator plant species in China that has strong tolerance and accumulation ability for Zn Cd. In addition, it good material the phytoextraction of soil heavy metal pollutants. However, specific effect high concentrations on growth S. its metabolic mechanisms are not clear. Using an untargeted metabolomics method, we analysed differential metabolites two ecotypes roots under different treatments. The results showed levels significantly promoted hyperaccumulating ecotype (HE), while was inhibited non-hyperaccumulating (NHE). We detected 624 alfredii. Under treatment, lots lipids lipid-like molecules, such as glyceryl monooleate 9,12,13-trihydroxyoctadecane-10-enoic acid, along with organic acids, lauramidopropylbetaine, L-malic their derivatives, decreased HE roots. Differential metabolites, some were upregulated NHE above indicate exogenous treatment induces downregulation response to Zn, but upregulation NHE.
